My name is Danka Gobeljic and I am at a position of Early Stage Researcher 2 (ESR2) within Marie Curie ITN NANOMOTION project at University of Duisburg-Essen. As my enclosed CV indicates, I studied Electrical Engineering and Computing with major in Physical Electronics, Nano, Opto and Laser Techniques at School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia. My research career had started in Italian National Research Institute for Photonics and Nanotechnologies (CNR-IFN), at University of Bari in Italy. Here, focus of my research was Raman spectroscopy and micro-probe spectroscopic characterization of optoelectronic devices, particularly THz Quantum Cascade Lasers. Scope of my work then was extended to development of Electrolyte-Gated Organic Field-Effect transistor (EGOFET) BIOsensor using Raman spectroscopy and photoluminescence measurements, where research activities have been directed in examination of lipid membranes used in the production of biologically active devices EGOFET.
Nowadays I am extensively working on development of bismuth-based lead-free piezoelectric ceramics using Piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) as a method for nanoscopic investigation of their electromechanical properties (more details at WP1B project description).
Besides, I particularly find an interest in not only development of material using different scanning microscopes, but also in world of their implementations, in a such a way establishing strong relation between scientific research and engineering.
